Next to this tree is the remnants of a side walk...and next to it is the former road which runs south alongside Capitol Lake in downtown Olympia. This same stretch of road was destroyed in the '65 quake, and rebuilt. At the time of this writing, (3-26-01) it is still shifting and dropping, and plans for re-building it are still up in the air.... Back
